Home insulation in Ireland

Facade insulation

In our time, insulation of house facades is very relevant, as it helps to reduce heat loss and lowers the amount of utility bills. There are several types of materials for wall insulation, each of which has its own advantages. Here I will show you examples of house insulation in Ireland. All of this is my work, and you can order wall insulation for your house from me.

House insulation in Dundalk.

I plastered the walls with cement plaster, formed straight angles and window sills. In areas of the highest load, I made special notches to better adhere the foam board. I glued the foam board to the wall using mounting foam and additionally reinforced it with plastic dowels. I used 5 cm thick foam board for house insulation. On top of the foam board, I applied another layer of plaster with a reinforcing nylon mesh. The mesh will prevent the formation of cracks and microcracks. Finally, I painted all the walls with paint. It turned out warm and beautiful.

Insulation using foam board

The process of insulating the facade of the house in Drogheda was the same as in the example above.
  1. Plastered the walls
  2. Formed angles and window sills
  3. Insulated the facade using foam board panels
  4. Plastered the walls over the foam board along with the mesh.
  5. Painted everything with paint.
The difference was that the house was two stories and the windows had semi-circular arches. Such arches are a bit more challenging to insulate.

Barn insulation in Navan.

I insulated this barn in Navan.
There was nothing unusual here, just standard wall insulation work. The insulation area was also small, so I finished it in 2 days.

Rockwool insulation

Another barn insulation in Balbriggan.

I insulated this barn in Balbriggan.
This job was a bit different because both mineral wool and foam board were used here.
One of the external corners was semi-circular, which added complexity to the work. As you can see in the photo, I had to cut the foam board into narrow vertical strips and use them to cover this corner.
In the end, the entire job turned out well.

Foundation insulation

Insulation of the concrete foundation of the barn. Such work should be done when the lower part of the wall becomes damp. Insulating the foundation helps to eliminate excess moisture.
